This video attempts to answer the question: What is the difference between borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder? Borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder (especially Bipolar II disorder) are often confused with one another. They share a number of symptoms and associated characteristics that can make it a struggle to differentiate between them. This video reviews three key domains and explores the differences between these two disorders across those domains. I examine the differences in symptoms, etiology, and course. Determining the correct diagnosis is important and should only be done by a licensed and qualified mental health counselor.
