Overview of Our 2024 Christmas Village with Trains

Take a tour of our small Christmas Village in 2024! You'll see several model trains, including two steam locomotives with built-in train sounds.

This village includes pieces from Lemax, Department 56, and others. The landscaping (mountain, waterfall, platforms and other features) were all hand-crafted.

The two main On30 train sets are Hawthorne Village (Bradford Exchange) collections. The green locomotive heads the Thomas Kinkade "Christmas Express" Train, and the red locomotive heads our "Coke 'n Bud Express" consisting of cars from the "Coca-Cola Holiday Express" collection, and the "Budweiser Holiday Express" collection. I've modified both the locomotives to use Digital Command Control (DCC) and sound for more realistic operation.

The villagers' garden train is a Z-scale model (DC only) with a steam locomotive and some cars from Marklin, with 12 Days of Christmas cars and others from Micro-Trains.
