Lenten Novena - A Journey with Jesus, His Redemption for Us
3 February (Week 2) - Purple Cloth: Tension between royalty and commoner. Colour evokes emotions, identifies with suffering of Jesus, portrays our repentance and penance, surrounding our sin. Tension in our lives between the old self and new life in Christ, as in the tearing of veil in the temple.
