We have arrived in Ollantaytambo, and we are amazed by the beauty of this town, built entirely of stone with a perfectly squared layout.
Just imagining that hundreds of years ago, the Incas walked these streets with their llamas, alpacas, and donkeys is impressive. It's incredible to see and feel its history.

In the main square, you can find coffee, soy products, herbal teas, and bread. Restaurants offer a great variety of dining options. The train station is just one kilometer away.

For travelers with their own vehicle, there is a free municipal parking lot, as well as private options charging between 4 soles per hour and 25 soles for the whole day.

Accommodation ranges from 80 to 100 soles, with rooms for up to 4 people (three beds or a combination of a single and a half-plaza bed), all with hot showers and excellent hospitality. These options are near the train station and by the river. As you get closer to the central square, prices increase, and some accommodations charge in dollars.

At night, the scenery transforms—the lights and the number of tourists make Ollantaytambo an unforgettable place.

Es ist faszinierend, sich vorzustellen, dass hier vor Hunderten von Jahren die Inkas mit ihren Lamas, Alpakas und Eseln unterwegs waren. Es ist unglaublich, dies mit eigenen Augen zu sehen und die Geschichte zu spüren.

Auf dem Hauptplatz gibt es Kaffee, Soja, Kräutertees und Brot zu kaufen. Die Restaurants bieten eine große Auswahl an Speisen. Der Bahnhof ist nur einen Kilometer entfernt.

Für Reisende mit eigenem Fahrzeug gibt es einen kostenlosen Parkplatz der Gemeinde sowie private Parkplätze, die zwischen 4 Soles pro Stunde und 25 Soles pro Tag kosten.

Unterkünfte gibt es ab 80 bis 100 Soles, mit Zimmern für bis zu 4 Personen (drei Betten oder eine Kombination aus einem Einzel- und einem halben Plaza-Bett), alle mit heißer Dusche und hervorragender Gastfreundschaft. Diese befinden sich in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und am Flussufer. Je näher man zum Zentralplatz kommt, desto höher steigen die Preise, und einige Unterkünfte verlangen in US-Dollar.
