This presentation is meant to outline at a high level the development of the Open Rack v3 (ORv3) High Power Rack solution. We will discuss some of the rack and power challenges surrounding future AI architectures and why HPR is necessary to address those challenges. We will also review some of the changes that have occurred to the design over the last several months. We will then dive into the power supply (PSU) and battery backup unit (BBU) designs that are being developed in order to deal with the higher power levels. Lastly- we will describe changes to the ORv3 rack design to accommodate these higher powers- as well as how it interfaces with various accessories- such as liquid cooling manifolds and power whips."
