Just bought this 1970 Datsun 521 mini truck project from out of state. The first year of the L16. It only came with a 4 speed manual transmission. Originally from Washington. The truck will be a rolling restoration. Paint. disc brakes, power brakes, 3 point seat belts, engine swap, EPS, etc. This video is just me exploring all the parts that are included and what is missing. The truck was in pieces be prepared for paint. So everything was unassembled. Perfect for me because I like a challenge. My first truck was a 74 620, always wanted a 521. My 74 I rebuilt the L18 in High school.
The plan is get the truck back together and running. Then get it registered. Paint the truck keep it looking original on outside and inside. But modernize the critical systems like brakes and steering. Modern stereo and seats.
