Kristine was an English Glam Rocker also known as Kristine Sparkle. This is a disco song which is a tribute to the TV detective Kojak and was apparently only released as a mono 45rpm single in England and on a compilation album in Canada. This is from the Canadian album titled "Hot Stuff" from 1975 and yes, it is in mono.
