Sonmarg is one of the most beautiful valleys in Kashmir, filled with snow-covered glaciers, tall pine trees, and small villages with just a few homes. Many people enjoy trekking to the Thajiwas Glacier, which Sonmarg is especially known for, during summer when the snow starts melting and the trail becomes easier to walk. In winter, Sonmarg gets covered with thick snow and turns into a white paradise. ❄️🌲
We chose the last two weeks of March for our Kashmir trip — a time when the weather is quite pleasant, and there’s still snow everywhere to enjoy.
In this video, I’ve shared my journey to Sonmarg - from the scenic roads to the snowy glaciers and everything in between.
While returning, we also visited the holy Maa Kheer Bhawani Temple, a peaceful and spiritual place that made our Kashmir trip even more special.
