We tried the viral Candied Cranberries recipe… and let’s just say it was a 50/50 success. Some were sweet and delicious — others fought back. But hey, holiday cooking is all about the adventure, right? Here’s exactly how we made them so you can try (and hopefully fix) what we couldn't.

Ingredients
1 (12 oz) bag fresh cranberries
2 cups lemon-lime soda (your favorite brand)
1 cup orange juice
1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
Combine cranberries, lemon-lime soda, and orange juice in a large bowl.
Cover and refrigerate 12–24 hours to soak.
Preheat oven to 200°F.
Drain cranberries and move them to a large zip-top bag.
Add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until fully coated.
Shake off extra sugar and place cranberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake 5 minutes at 200°F.
Optional: Bake an additional 5 minutes at 250°F if the first round tastes… questionable.
