The Motuo Lhoba tribes belong to the Miguba and Misinba tribes. They mainly live in Damuluoba Township, and some live together with the Monba and Tibetans. The Lhoba tribe in Milin County mainly belongs to the Bogar tribe and lives in Nanyi Lhoba Township, Qiangna Township, Milin Town and other townships; Lhoba people in Longzi County, mainly living in Douyu Township of the county, including Na, Mure, Bayi, Burui and other tribes; Lhoba people in Zayu County, They are mainly part of the original Yidu tribe and live in Xiba Village in the county.
The Lhoba language is an independent language of the Tibeto-Burman branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family. The dialects of the various tribes are quite different, and there is no national script.
