Our wedding film love story

How did you guys meet?
We were friends at school then started going out in Sept 2019 after Lucinda's gap year and just before she started Uni.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
Joe is a police officer and Lucinda is a teacher.
We both enjoy watching rugby and playing touch rugby. We both love being active and workout, run and walk together. We enjoy going on holiday/travelling and exploring new places. We regularly socialise with friends and family. We have just moved to Henley and are really happy living in a beautiful town on the river.

How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)
We went for one of our favourite walks on a very wet and cold day in February half term. Joe got down on one knee at the top of the hill where you have beautiful views. Lucinda said yes straight away and then we went home to tell our families and went out for dinner with both our parents to celebrate.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
We decided to have our ceremony at St Mary’s Church because it is Lucinda's family’s local church and when she was growing up her school used to go there, and we always go at Christmas. Our reception venue has changed due to Covid, but we are very pleased to be having an intimate wedding at Lucinda's parent’s house because we spend a lot of time there and love it!

We then celebrated again with afternoon tea and games (including tennis!) at Hedsor House for all of our friends and family who were unable to make the original date because of Covid.


What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
Fun, relaxed and special day.

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
Our flowers are white with green foliage. Our wedding stationary is white and silver.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Covid changing everything all the time!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Make sure you enjoy it!
