Hello y'all!
In this video I will show you how to add a spare key to a VW Passat with a JCI/Visteon dashboard in 4 steps. Let's get to it!
Step 1:
Gather info from the working key or keys (at least one working key is required to add a spare).
This is done by connecting to the car via OBD, and reading the keys using PROTAG Programmer.
Step 2:
Read and write the JCI dashboard on bench.
For this step, disassemble the instrument cluster from the car and take it apart down to the PCB. Then, use the RH850 Programmer to connect to the module, wiring diagrams are available in the software menu under the respective dashboard type.
Step 3:
Assemble and return the dashboard in the car.
After successfully reading and writing the dash, put it back inside the vehicle.
Step 4:
Learn all the keys to the car (previously working and new, all of them)
The procedure is done via the Key Learning menu of your AVDI, under the Diagnostics for VAG.
Check out the video and let me know what you think! Like and subscribe. Stay tuned for my next video, I shot it at a new location, that I think you'll like.
See you very soon!
Have fun,
