Weak spark? - How to test the resistance of a HT lead

Another of the new 'Basic Skills' family of short videos. Ignition misfires are often caused by defective HT leads. These leads have to transmit in excess of 100,000v on a modern car's high tension circuit, whereas on older cars the spark voltage was a much lower 40,000v. The higher the voltage the better the insulating properties the HT leads need to have to prevent the higher voltage leaking to ground which will result in a misfire for that cylinder.
Here's a short video showing you how to test the resistance of a HT lead and I have included some resistance specifications for the different types of HT leads available...
