It’s day 25 on the Long Trail and we are climbing the tallest mountain in Vermont, Mount Mansfield. The day is packed with activities - visiting the historic Butler Lodge and running into friends, climbing the exposed “Forehead Trail,” summiting with Dirty’s mom, a brutally steep descent, finding a way to cheat the trail, and finally, camping on top of a ski resort.
We are entering the final week of the Long Trail. Stick with us as we continue hiking north, getting closer to the Canadian border. It won’t be easy, but it will be rewarding...
