How to remove a brake light switch on a Lincoln town car

If your car won't shift from park to drive and you have no brake lights when your on the brake pedal...your brake light switch just went on you.
Luckily they are fairly cheap to replace.
Today I'm going to show you how to remove a brake light switch on a 1993 Lincoln town car.
It's located on the pedal itself.
Pull the spring out and slide it off.
Pay attention to where the washers are before you remove it.
Disconnect the wire plug and that's it.
Easy!
I learned this "trick" by being stuck with my whole family at a gas station on our way home one day.
Use some wire/string to hold the switch up or play with the wires a bit.
This will allow you to shift so you get home and fix it.
If you press hard on the pedal that
wire/string will come off!
Brakes will still work but no brake lights and once in park it won't shift again.
CAUTION
YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS MAY NOT BE WORKING,INSPECT BEFORE DRIVING!
