台二線是台灣省道，為沿基隆北海岸地區所興建的道路，屬於臺灣本島濱海公路系統之一環；西起新北市淡水區竹圍之關渡大橋（亦為台15線起點），東迄宜蘭縣蘇澳鎮（銜接台九線蘇花改起點），總長167.674公里。
其中淡水至金山路段為淡金公路。
金山至基隆路段為基金公路。
兩者歷史悠久，為北海岸各區之重要聯絡道路，也是北海岸觀光發展之命脈。
基隆至蘇澳路段為北部濱海公路，為大台北地區及宜蘭之間第三條交通走廊，也是國道5號全線通車之前北宜間僅有的兩處公路孔道之一，交通地位重要
，又北部濱海公路通車帶動了東北角海岸的觀光市場。

Tai-2 Line is a provincial highway in Taiwan that stretches along the northern coast of the island. It begins in New Taipei City's Tamsui District at the Guandu Bridge (also the starting point of Provincial Highway 15) and extends east to Su'ao Township in Yilan County, where it connects to Provincial Highway 9, known as the Suhua Highway. The total length of Tai-2 Line is approximately 167.674 kilometers.
From Tamsui to Jinshan, it's known as the Tamshui-Jinshan Highway (淡金公路).
From Jinshan to Keelung, it's known as the Jinshan-Keelung Highway (金基公路).
From Keelung to Su'ao, it's part of the Northern Coastal Highway and serves as an important transportation corridor connecting Greater Taipei with Yilan. It's also one of only two road tunnels along this route before the completion of National Freeway 5, making it a critical transportation link.
