Let's travel to Perisher valley Australia. Perisher ski resort is located in Kosciusko national park. Perisher snow field is located 5-6 hours away from Sydney and 2-2.5 hours away from Canberra. June to October is the best time to travel Perisher.

The national park entry fee is AUD$ 29 per day for each vehicle. It is compulsory for all 2WD vehicles to carry snow chains in winter between June and October long weekends. If you are planning to rent out winter cloths, snow sport equipment and snow chains for vehicles, I would recommend to get them from Cooma or Jindabyne.

Perisher vally is the largest ski resort in southern hemisphere, over 3000 acres of skiable terrain including Perisher valley, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega. Smiggin Holes know as one of the best begginer ski resort on Australian snow fields. A free shuttle service operates Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes in every 15 minutes from 7.30 AM to 5.30 PM daily.

You will find an array of Coffee shops, cafes, retail outlets, an ATM, Pharmacy, post office and a supermarket in the Perisher centre and Perisher Valley Ski Tube terminal.

Ski and snowboard lessons and some private lessons also are available throughout the season. Single day or multi day lift passes can be punched from ticketing office. And also, Perisher Valley has a dedicated area for Ski tubes, toboggans and snow play, right in front of the car park.

We stayed at The Stable resort, a modern, elegant, contemporary apartments at Perisher. Alternatively you can stay in Thredbo village (including overnight car parking facility) or near by town called Jindabyne.

Perisher's skitube, a Swiss designed rack-rail train offers guests an alternative way to travel during their snow holiday. It takes passengers from Bullock Flats on the Alpine way through a 6.3 km long tunnel in the Ramshead Range to the Perisher resort. The first stop is the underground station at Perisher Valley, followed by the Blue Cow terminal.
