Way back in 2003 Ford and Harley-Davidson tied up for the second limited-edition Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson truck. This is one of those and has been in Arizona its entire life. A custom bike is all about a cool color theme, and this special edition F-150 knows that, too. The 2003 model year was the introduction of a black and silver two-tone. It takes advantage of the H-D F-150's special features, like the Lightning-inspired color-matched bumpers and full pinstriping for a dividing line. And while the presentation looks like a custom application, this is how Ford made it. In fact, the glossy two-tone you see here is a well-preserved factory application. More than just the paint, it has the right chopper attitude with added flair from, polished side rails, and the upgraded big 22-inch Harley Davidson alloys really show this one off. There's plenty of room to haul things in the secure tonneau-covered bed, and there's a proper trailer hitch. The badging on this one is very important. The full special edition packaging continues when we travel to the interior. You've got a Harley-Davidson edition plaque in the center console and exclusive gauge package. Plus, there's a special set of sport leather seats up front that have the H-D badge embedded into the seatback. In the rear, you also have individual buckets with the Lincoln-style center console featuring a custom H-D wings on top. More than just a limited edition, these were also expensive and loaded. That means you get a ton of great features, like power windows, power locks, tilt column, an AM/FM stereo w/CD changer, dual airbags, electric rear window defogger, and cold-blowing automatic A/C climate control. The SuperCrew cab provides plenty of room to make this great for the long haul. Under the hood is the original fuel-injected 5.4-liter V8. And you'll notice this has something on top - a supercharger. That engine was a supercharged 5.4-liter SOHC Triton V8 that made 340 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and 425 foot-pounds of torque at 3,250 rpm. The blown V8 put its power to the road via a standard F-Series four-speed automatic transmission of the era. The rear end has a 3.73:1 axle ratio and a limited-slip differential underneath. Ford also touted the truck’s standard anti-lock brakes. It's a powerful package that's ready to unleash at a moment's notice. Plus, power steering and four-wheel disc brakes w/ABS make the miles effortless near or far.
