This Road Turns Into a Snow Tunnel - Whitby Area Snow

In this video, Filmed in January 2026, Glenn takes us along Grinkle Lane, just outside Whitby - a road that, when the conditions are right, stops being a road at all and becomes a tunnel.

A snow tunnel.

Trees arch overhead, the world narrows, the sound drops away, and for a short while everything feels slower, calmer, and slightly unreal. In autumn, Glenn insists on calling this stretch The Golden Tunnel.

In winter, nature takes over and does a far better job.
Stick with the drive to the end and you’ll also pass through the grounds of Grinkle Park Hotel, where the snow settles a little deeper and the moors remind us why this place feels timeless when the weather turns.
