Welcome to the first episode of Season 3, Ep 03 of Immigrant Voices and Victories (IVV)!
In this episode of IVV Season 3, we sit down with Nanelle Griselda Nti, a passionate nurse from Ghana who moved to the UK in 2018 to pursue her nursing career. From working in a care home to securing a full-time NHS role, gaining Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), and celebrating her son's British citizenship, Nanelle shares her incredible journey of resilience and success. 🌍 Nanelle Griselda was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, and relocated to the UK in 2018 to work as a nurse. She's been living, working, and embracing new experiences ever since!
On top of being a dedicated nurse, She is also a proud wife and a mother to the most adorable 3-year-old. As a hobby, she creates content mainly on YouTube to educate aspiring nurses on the process of relocating to the UK and share her experiences of moving abroad.
After completing my nursing degree in Ghana, job opportunities were limited. She discovered the UK’s urgent need for internationally educated nurses, so she took the necessary exams (IELTS & CBT), completed and paperwork, and eventually moved to the UK to take her final practical exam (OSCE). After passing, she officially became a UK-licensed nurse!
Her journey was made smoother with the help of a recruitment agency, which guided her through the process, provided initial accommodation, covered her flight, and sorted her visa."
