There are some mistakes that should be avoided when starting piston engines and I learned about them the hard way. Having had some trouble starting the engine of an airplane, I did some research and found some tips I want to share with you on this video! I can still improve on my fuel-injected hot starts, I'm sure. In hindsight, I think I will allow the system more time to run with mixture cut-off and fuel pump on high, and maybe allow a little bit more time also with fuel flow when pushing the mixture to full rich.
