We Took the Untouched Route to Lake Ellis | Mt. Kenya Adventure
In this episode, we take you on an unforgettable drive up Mt. Kenya using the lesser-known Themwe route — far more remote and rugged than the usual Chogoria trail. Our journey leads us to the stunning Lake Ellis, where the high-altitude silence and untouched beauty are simply breathtaking.
We didn’t hike this time — this was a full 4x4 adventure! After spending time at Lake Ellis, we descended using the more popular Chogoria route, giving us two completely different experiences of the mountain.
