Join me on my first solo Moto Camping trip of 2025 to Arizona (US) !!... 1.178 miles, 5 days on the road and 4 nights sleeping under the sky.
(00:00:08) Day 1
On my first day of the trip, I rode Eastbound 338 miles from Los Angeles (CA), most part of them on the Interstate I-10 but also I enjoyed some beautiful less traveled back roads before I made it to camp and call it a day.
(00:17:48) Day 2
212 miles on my second day of the trip, ditching the Interstate and other major roads. Really enjoyed the ride, the solitude and the beautiful scenery while keeping heading Eastbound. After a long twisty stretch of road, I got lucky finding a great spot to camp for the night, with a fantastic view and I made myself at home.
(00:40:31) Day 3
Third day was a great one, heading to the furthest east point of the trip, and even if I only rode 106 miles, and had to deal with a road work delay on one of the stretches, these were the most scenic views of the whole trip, with tons of saguaros everywhere along the entire ride. The camp spot was one of the highlights of the trip, with epic and heartbreaking views that will last in my memory forever.
(01:03:09) Day 4
On the fourth day of the trip it was time to start heading back West, but not before treating myself with a peaceful easy morning and enjoying the magnificent views and beauty that my camping spot had to offer. After hanging out with some saguaros, it was time to hit the road. Empty roads, freeways and even gravel were ridden, with a total of 238 miles on the saddle, ending the day literally riding into the Sunset, thinking about the intro scene of “Harley Davidson & Marlboro man” movie with Mickey Rourke. Gotta love it!.
(01:25:17) Day 5
Last day on the road and time to go home, after a good night of sleep while cowboy camping. 284 miles in total for the day, and most of them on the interstate with a few gas stops to fill up the steel horse and take quick breaks from the saddle. After battling the usual sidewind in Palm Springs, and even getting slapped by a brief sandstorm, I worked my way on the freeway between the well known horrible LA traffic to make it home safe, also known as splitting lanes. Can’t wait to go back to Arizona, always the best of times in the wind. What a great trip this was!!!.
