「Metal Gear Rising」 Chapter R-03: Monsoon (Revengeance, No Damage, S-Rank)

Chapter R-03: Monsoon (Revengeance Mode, No Damage, S-Rank)
Challenge: No Kill, Wooden Sword Only, No DLC/Wig


The hardest of the Desperado bosses to deal "No Damage" due to randomness uncertainties:

Camera unexpected spin (screwups parry/running)
During smoke, may hit with no "red light" & instantly
After smoke, may hit you off screen
Lorentz Force pattern attacks isn't always the same
Can "rapid cancel" into another attack unexpectedly which can hit you if you tried to normally counter him back


{PHASE: CHASE}
There are two ways to take this on:
01) Parry everything and counter accordingly
02) Run and bait him into whiffing his Jump-Flying Attack or his Boot Kick

NOTE: You CAN NOT Perfect Parry him since he will automatically evade it (unless you got him trapped in the corner).


{PHASE: SMOKE BOMB}
Remember to Dodge to avoid getting hit by his Smoke Bomb (does like 3% damage but does ruin the "No Damage" run).

He tips you off the direction he attacks by the usual "red light indicator" and giving you a second before he attacks.

PRAY he does not instant attack with no "red light indicator".

R2 (target lockon) after every attack because after Smoke Bomb Phase ends, there is a good chance he is off screen and may be in the action of hitting you without any warning (since he is off screen). This way locking on will give you a chance to see what he is doing.


{PHASE: LORENTZ FORCE}
His starting general pattern (note he may randomly change which one flies first), he always does two Lorentz Force per each of this Phase:

01) Middle
02) Middle, Right
03) Middle, Right, Left
04) Right, Middle, Left, Up
05) Right, Middle, Left, Up, Right
06) Right, Middle, Left, Up, Right, Left
07) Right, Middle, Left, Up, Right, Left, Middle

08-xx) ???

From his 08+, I just evade-run since there is too much crap, see 3:37 to see how I've done it.

Also, he can HEAL himself on those pillar if you don't hit him with your Sai.
