After the afternoon Amtrak trains cleared Tampa for the day, I decided to see if I could get lucky and catch CSX job Y295 which rather famously street runs through Downtown Tampa. Unfortunately, it did not end up running on this night. Not all was lost, though; while waiting it out near Yeoman Yard, I crossed over the Clearwater Subdivision and noticed that the signal was lined across the diamond with the Tampa Terminal Subdivision for a southbound train. Looking north, I saw a headlight approaching. I scrambled to set up my camera and just moments later, what I believe to be CSX L755 came rolling through with a GP38-3 leading a long cut of autoracks from a terminal on the north side of the city.
This crossing features an older pair of cantilevers likely dating back to at least the 1980s with a variety of incandescent lights adorning them. Two gated masts are also present with US&S or WABCO Model 75 gate motors. There is a pair of electronic bells with the near side having an NEG and the far side having a sickly General Signals, probably a Type 1.
