This video is shows a technique manipulating slip stitches to have them fall on the "front side" of the fabric which creates a cool effect. This tutorial uses a Singer 218 knitting machine.
Although hand manipulated stitches can be a bit tedious at times this technique gets easier as you go along, it becomes like second nature (even though I was struggling at the beginning it became a lot easier and by the time I was done, I wasn't even thinking about it anymore).
A No.18 punch card was used in this sample but you can experiment with different cards or try using every second needle with a thicker yarn, or whatever you like!
