Modifying a metal lathe to do left-handed threads

I will need to do some left-handed threads in a future project. Unfortunately, my metal lathe doesn’t have the capability to change the lead screw rotation direction. So I needed to modify it to produce those left-handed threads.
The project itself was pretty simple. I only needed to add one of the existing spare gears in between to change the rotational direction. However, the gear needs to be easily removable to enable using it when needed. So, I just created a simple gear holder from a flat bar, some bolts, nuts, and washers.
The flat bar pieces were drilled and milled to hold the bolts and provide height adjustment for the gear. Also, a bushing was turned to hold the gear in the holder.
