Saltdean is a real place! High on the cliffs of Brighton. But it is a twentieth century creation. the owner of the layout had re-written history and imagined it as a mid Victorian resort to which a Railway was built in 1882 from Brighton Station. In reality getting a Railway up there would be impossible.
The Layout is 0 Gauge and represents a terminus built by the London Brighton and South Cast Railway (LBSCR) and Peter Smith & John Smith own the layout. filmed at the London Festival of Railway Modelling on the 24th March 2020
