John Deere 1025R digs 12 inch hole using Tractor Supply County Line 3 point post hole digger / auger. Great tool. Technique is slow and steady. Notice I put the bucket down for stability. Another technique is to drive Tractor forward a little after starting hole. This keeps the hole plumb and less crooked. If it seems it is stuck turn off PTO quickly. Drive forward and backward 2-3 times. Engage Pto and raise digger to clear dirt away and start again. RPM on engine used was 2100. Of course rear PTO speed was 540.
