After weeks of grinding, gluing, cutting, and crafting, the beauty panel is finally revealed. In this time-lapse-packed episode of Bass Therapy, I take you behind the scenes as I build one of the most intricate pieces of my car audio install yet.
Using a technique called stack fab, I sliced plywood into 1/4" strips, glued them sideways, then chopped them into 2" sections—flipping every other piece to form a herringbone pattern. It’s raw craftsmanship: just me, a skill saw, T-square, grinder, some clamps, and a whole lot of patience.
From sanding and staining to epoxy pours and countless test fits, this build is a labor of love and a real testament to DIY audio passion. Whether you’re into car audio, fabrication, or just appreciate good craftsmanship, this one’s for you.
