In this episode of my DIY Tiny Barn Conversion in North Wales, I’m digging down inside the barn to make room for the new floor layers — MOT/hardcore, a damp proof membrane, and the new concrete slab. Sounds simple enough… until I hit a layer of solid clay and some massive rocks that had other ideas!
I also try (and probably fail!) to estimate just how much soil I’ve shifted — let’s just say it felt like a mountain. By the end, I share a quick top tip for levelling the ground before the next stage, and of course… there’s yet another setback in the mix.
