The new car price was 52.400€. The current selling price is round about 39.750€. The BMW F31 340i is powered by a 3.0l inline 6-cylinder i6 Turbo petrol engine B58 and delivers 326 HP & 450Nm of torque. In our opinion, the 326 hp of the BMW 340i F31 are more than enough for the car, they are fun, sporty, and comfortable at the same time. Because of the low weight the BMW 340i F31 touring accelerates very well.

The BMW F31 340i has a Transmission 8-Speed ZF-Automatic gearbox transmission. The gear shifts are very aggressive you can feel it when you drive in SPORT MODE but when you try to drive normal the gears are super soft. Also, when you hit a paddle on your steering wheel it shifts directly.

Let's look at the BMW F31 340i fuel consumption. According to factory specifications, the manufacturers promise that the combined fuel consumption is 6,8l/100km. For a 3.0l engine with 326hp this is a very low consumption. But the driving style plays a big role, because if you drive sporty you can never keep the prescribed manufacturer consumption. On the other hand, if you drive very economically, you can even get below the factory specification. Further information is that the tank volume includes 60 liters, which is a lot.

With a full tank, the BMW 340i reaches 882 kilometers. For an everyday car sports car this is very impressive. However, you must consider that these numbers can only be achieved if you drive economically. The BMW F31 340i is powered by a rear-wheel-drive System.

1680Kg is very light for BMW F31 340i Touring. A light weight ensures that a car consumes less. The light weight is especially noticeable in the acceleration and let the 326HP act even faster. According to the factory, the BMW 340i F31 accelerates from 0-100 in 5,1 seconds, which is very impressive for touring with 326hp, considering that the car is very light at 1680kg. From our own experience we can confirm that the acceleration feels much faster. The BMW F31 340i needs 14,4 seconds from 100-200km/h and 19,5 seconds from 0-200km/h.

The top speed of the BMW F31 340 is 250km/h which is not very impressive for a car with 326hp. During the top speed we noticed that the car is limited. A car with 326hp could go over 280km/h, but the car reaches top speed very quickly. Because of the light weight, the speed feels super-fast. The wind noise at higher speeds is comfortable.

The BMW F31 340i suspension is one of the best that has ever been built. The suspension can be changed in the different driving modes. In sport mode it is hard and stiffer, and you have more feeling for the road and bumps, the car starts to bounce a little. In comfort mode, the suspension changes to soft, so you don't feel as much of the road. The handling in curves of the BMW 340i F31 is perfect because you can drive even at high speeds in sharp curves without understeering or oversteering. However, the cornering position is also dependent on the weight. The steering is very accurate and direct, so you do not have to steer much. Even when braking down hard from high speeds, the car behaves quietly.

The BMW F31 340i sound from the exhaust is very loud and amazing. At full throttle, the transmission leaves a nice fart when changing gears. Nice pops and bangs appear when you get off the throttle at high revs. You can compare it to a Toyota Supra MK5. Please note that a car with a loud exhaust also consumes more.

The size of the BMW F31 340i is 4,6m in length and includes a width of 1,8m, which overall represent a very large vehicle. This can be compared to a Mercedes-Benz C-Class T-Model.
