Saharanpur Junction Railway Station is being renovated at a cost of Rs 15 crore. So far, 50 percent work under Amrit Bharat Scheme has been completed at the railway station. The special thing is that a route to the railway station is being made from the new place.
Saharanpur railway station is of A category. More than 145 trains pass through Up-Down, which go to states like Mumbai, Kolkata, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand etc. More than two lakh passengers travel in trains. Special attention is being paid to provide better facilities to the passengers at the railway station. It has already been announced to make the station world class. Along with this, Saharanpur's name was also included in Amrit Bharat Yojana.
Under this scheme the station is being redesigned. The waiting hall and waiting rooms on platform number four are being repaired and new ones are being built. Apart from this, a new route to the railway station has been made by the Senior Section Engineer Works office. Entry to the railway station will be possible through this route. This route will come directly to the main gate of the station. Apart from this, a road is being built outside the reservation centre, which will connect to Gurudwara Road. Stone granite has been installed in the waiting area near platform number three. With so much work being done, passengers will get better facilities.
Saharanpur Junction is a significant railway station that is currently undergoing major redevelopment. A beautiful statue of Mahatma Buddha has been installed outside the station, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. The circulating area outside the station has been redesigned to look more attractive, and the station building itself now resembles a temple with its new architectural design.

This station is part of the Northern Railway's Ambala division and serves as a key hub with trains traveling in various directions. Each day, 17 pairs of trains originate and terminate at this station. Additionally, the station is strategically located next to the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, further highlighting its importance in the rail network. More development projects are planned to enhance the facilities and infrastructure at Saharanpur Junction.
