DAY 2 ARACHNOIDITIS & SPINAL CSF LEAK FLARE: January 2021

On the 28th of January I had another flare relapse of my arachnoiditis/ AA symptoms and wanted to share the progression with you to give others a window into this absolutely awful experience.

I have suffered from a #spinalcsfleak and #arachnoiditis for 6 years now after a ladder fall in January 2015. My leak was diagnosed about 3 months after my fall - although it was only seen on scans in late 2019. The arachnoiditis was not understood, or diagnosed until my last acute flare in July 2020. Which is when we began to treat that too.

DAY 2 SYMPTOMS:
Weak legs/ unsteady gait 0:15
Speech problems, sluggish cognition 0:22
Flickering eyes 1:40
Pins & needles & bubbling over the body 1:55
Slow cognition/ can't think straight 2:40
Jolts & spasms 3:10, 3:34
Severe headache, photo & photophobia 2:22, 3:25
Lying flat on side with pillow between knees 1:10
