Elgar - Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 (Pokémon HGSS Soundfont)

As requested by supermarionicholas931, here's a rendition of the Pomp and Circumstance No. 1 with the Pokémon HGSS soundfont.

The six Pomp and Circumstance marches are Elgar's most popular pieces and this first one is easily the most well-known of the lot. While they (mostly the first, to be fair) are commonly associated with graduation ceremonies in North America, in reality, the language of each of these marches is British just as explicitly as Moncayo's Huapango is Mexican, and they could work admirably in a variety of other formal occasions as well.

The main section of this first march is both lively and exciting; its swagger can be quite contagious at times.
The Trio section (2:00), the bit heard in graduation ceremonies, is very reserved and solemn by comparison. The mood seems to be both hopeful and nostalgic at the same time.
After the Trio has run its course, the main section returns (3:48) so it would seem this piece will follow the standard "Scherzo and Trio" design, but the Trio returns at the end (4:59). The qualities previously mentioned being made even more prominent, it serves as a satisfying and uplifting climax.
The brief coda (6:01) rephrases the piece's opening in a new and delightful fashion.
