Today I present my second version of “In the Garden” by C. Austin Miles. Featured is Dan Hanze on piano and me, Michael Fries on re-recorded vocals. I re-recorded the vocals because of the difference in quality between a condenser mic and a lapel mic.
The piano recording was made on 10/31/22 at United Methodist West Church, in West Des Moines, IA. The re-recorded vocals were recorded in early May 2025.
The concept of this video portrays the garden as nightfall; when the soul is made ripe for the presence of God. Union with God brings us directly back… to the Garden. And, as this song states: “The joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.” This is true 1 on 1 Jesus time; all within the heart.
