Part 1 of the Action Cable series covers setting up Your First Action Cable Chat App. This episode does not touch on Action Cable yet, that is saved for part 2 which should be available in a few days.
This one turned out a bit rough, mostly due to audio issues and just life in general. Hopefully future videos will be higher quality again.
We setup by adding things like a bootstrap navbar for user sign in and sign out, a homepage with the chat room and chat form, and a few other things.
In this tutorial we use the Rails 5 form_with instead of the default form_for because it makes remote calls even easier, and we use simple_form to style our devise forms.
