This video is the second of two lectures on ethical and legal issues related to EEG research during the ABDN workshop. This lecture focuses on EEG in African countries. It discusses the ethics of obtaining informed consent from research participants, as well as safeguarding their privacy and confidentiality. We also clarify what a “lawful basis of use” means and outline the lawful basis for obtaining and utilizing data for research purposes.
