Israel intercepts the Global Sumud Flotilla vessels, detains hundreds of activists

Israeli forces intercepted several Global Sumud Flotilla vessels on Wednesday, which have been sailing to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza and deliver aid. Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, along with hundreds of other activists, were detained and taken to Israel. Netanyahu’s government had previously vowed to do whatever it takes to stop the flotilla from reaching war-torn Gaza. The international community has condemned Israel, denouncing its actions as a breach of international maritime law.
To debate that and more we are also joined by one of the flotilla’s activists aboard the boat Shireen. She shares her first-hand experience of the live situation at sea and the risks involved.
