Yosemite Adventures and Photographing Wild Bears

Come along with me on these few days in Yosemite National Park! We hiked to the base of Yosemite Falls as well as Vernal Falls and I got to see the Ansel Adams gallery and take lots of my own photographs during my time here. This was my second time here after a middle school field trip on which I never saw any bears. This time that was my goal. To see wild black bears. From a safe distance, yet close enough to photograph them with my 300mm lens. On Saturday I prayed for exactly that. Sunday morning our pastor told the story of 'the God of the buffalos' when his mom prayed out the missing buffalos on a trip to Yellowstone. After service, across the street from our camp is where I got my experience from the same God, the God of the bears, the God of everything. I may have technically gotten too close to them but I was given just enough time, and a sense of peace, to get all the shots I needed before the rangers got there and scared them away. Next year I hope to rock climb and horseback ride there. Comment down below any other 'musts' I should add to my bucket-list for Yosemite.
