International Tech Park Bangalore (ITPB) today inaugurated the ‘ITPB Metro Skywalk’, a landmark infrastructure initiative connecting Pattandur Agrahara Metro Station (Purple Line) directly to ITPB and Park Square Mall. The skywalk is expected to significantly ease daily commutes for over 55,000 professionals, while encouraging eco-friendly public transport usage.
The skywalk was jointly inaugurated by Gauri Shankar Nagabhushanam, CEO, CapitaLand India Trust, Subramanya Gudge, Director – Project & Planning, BMRCL, representing Dr. J. Ravishankar, IAS, Managing Director, BMRCL, along with senior leaders from ITPB’s leading tenant companies.
Spanning 320 feet and elevated 24 feet above road level, the skywalk enables seamless pedestrian movement while ensuring uninterrupted vehicular flow below. Built using durable structural steel and concrete, it features energy-efficient LED lighting, sustainable materials, and universal accessibility through ramps, elevators, and wide walkways.
The project highlights effective public–private collaboration, strengthening last-mile connectivity, reducing traffic congestion in Whitefield, and supporting Bengaluru’s vision for sustainable urban mobility.
