Our wedding film love story

How did you guys meet?
We met through our mutual friend Siân who is one of our bridesmaids.

Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
Sharon is an antisocial behaviour officer. She loves amateur dramatics and has a passion for singing. The groom is an IT manager. Tony is a spiritual medium.
Both Sharon and Tony are spiritual.

We both love cats and have 14 of our own who we are absolutely dedicated to.
We like to watch TV. Love theatre.

How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)
Tony took Sharon to Saint Lucia in June 2021. They were supposed to go in January for Sharon’s 50th Birthday but Boris put us into lockdown. Tony had already planned to propose on this holiday and had to put this on hold and keep it a secret.

They went on a catamaran sunset cruise while in St Lucia and Tony got down on one knee while the sun was setting.

How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
We looked at lots of venues and when we visited Essendon, we fell in love with it and knew it was the one. It’s very rustic.

What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
We want our guests to remember the day and the little personal touches we have made. The tables are named after our cats for example. We want people to have fun!

Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
We have gone for blue colours as this is Sharon and Tony's favourite colour. Lots of sparkle and Roses - Sharons favourite flower.

What was the hardest decision during the planning?
There was nothing that was hard. We have agreed on everything.

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Be organised. That’s absolutely crucial. Tony says that Sharon takes organisation to an Olympic sport level!
