Ben Weinman talking to a disabled old school Dillinger fan in a wheelchair after Melb show. 13/08/25

Ben is not only an incredible musician but an incredible human being too.
The very first people he came and spoke to was John, who was next to me at the show. He was in a wheelchair and had brain damage and a Dillinger fanatic, like myself (only the fanatic part).
He asked me if I could send him the video of the show, which I happily agreed to do. He didn't know I filmed his conversation with Ben (intuition) and I didn't mention it at that time because my plan was to suprise him when I uploaded the video of the show for him. Dimitri spoke to him but It wasn't filmed.
The next day I was looking through the photos taken by Jay Collier at the gig and what felt like devine Intervention, he took an amazing photo of Dimitri shaking Johns hand. Jay captured something truly special, a look of absolute respect and appreciation in Dimitris eyes while they were shaking hands.
Now I was in a position make his dreams come true twice in as many days! Thank you so much for capturing that, Jay. We've both had the privildge to rock this guys world in ways he never imagined.
Funnily enough, I told Ben what A massive influence his been in my life, to which he responded, "I hope you're a good person then..."
Hopefully this serves as some kind of indication, to the answer of that question...
I didn't realise I inadventently recorded myself Fan-boying out to Ben Weinman! It does make me cringe to hear, but strangely enough it wasn't as bad as I remembered it being haha
