Hell March - South Korea 76th Armed Force Day Ceremony

The 76th Republic of Korea (ROK) Armed Forces Day events were held on October 1, 2024. The main ceremony took place at the Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, followed by a large public parade that moved from the air base toward and through downtown Seoul.

Participation: Approximately 5,000 South Korean and U.S. troops participated in the events.

Equipment Display: The events showcased a wide array of military equipment, including K2 tanks, K9 self-propelled howitzers, domestically developed KF-21 supersonic fighter jets, and various unmanned aerial/underwater vehicles and quadruped robots.

Hyunmoo-5 Unveiling: The "monster missile," the Hyunmoo-5, an intermediate-range ballistic missile capable of carrying an 8-ton warhead to destroy underground bunkers, made its public debut on transporter erector launchers during the ceremony and parade.

Combined Flyover: A U.S. B-1B Lancer strategic bomber conducted a flyover with ROK Air Force F-15K fighter jets as a show of force and alliance strength.

Public Engagement: The downtown parade was a significant public event, held for the second consecutive year, allowing citizens to view the military hardware and personnel up close.
