The annual Scarecrow Festival is an ingenious way to encourage locals and visitors alike to see more of beautiful Elie. A map was duly purchased, the sun shone and we parked up the car and walked (and walked). With all Scarecrows ‘bagged’ our day concluded with a short detour to Anstruther for a smoked haddock supper before heading home via Kilconquhar, Ceres and Cupar.
