As you know I like to tell stories, so hop on your lazy chair, whip out your reading glasses & let’s begin!
I was about 10 years old when my parents brought me to an old mall which has since been turned into the biggest Ace Hardware in my town. That mall had some very interesting fans, including 2 ventilation fans that made me scratch my head for 7 years trying to figure out what they were. Those fans were installed on the ceiling of the kitchen pots & pans section of that mall, and everytime I went to that spot I always had my eyes fixed on the ceiling since I wanted to know what they are so badly. Well, today I got the fan that I’d always thought about in the back of my head, and it is a KDK ceiling mounted air intake fan! It’s a weird fan to say the least, and you bet I have a thousand page novel prepared for the description part once I get around filming it. I bought it from a private seller sight unseen for a really good price, but unfortunately the motor has some issues I have to address.
As for the ceiling fans, well..
One day @TheeXtremeFanEnthusiast texted that he’d just acquired 4 90’s Matsushita industrials, and he’s thinking about letting some of them go. That time my new workshop was still being constructed which made my house feel like an upturned ship, so buying those fans from him right then & there wouldn’t have been a good idea. So I asked him if he can keep them for a month or 2 while I sort things up at my end, and he said sure as he wanted to fix some things on those fans. I got things under control mid December, so I told him he could ship it now. The package itself got caught up in things & it ended up taking almost 2 weeks to get to me, it was rather annoying but the fans themselves don’t seem to get damaged during shipping so eh.
He also gave me a KDK orbital ceiling fan speed control. Well he actually sent 2, but he told me the other one is for @kenshosean. I have to say though, he went a bit overboard with the wrappings which I’m actually grateful for because the fans are protected very well, and I was the one who requested the gold medallions be wrapped in tissue paper & the lower plastic motor covers be wrapped separately from the motor, but I wasn’t honestly prepared to see my room looking like rats just had a plastic bag party LOL.
