Do you want to apply a unique color legend to each row or column in a Tableau worksheet? With some creative calculations, you can!
By default, Tableau assigns a single color range to an entire worksheet. That makes sense in a lot of circumstances, but not always. Let's say you're comparing sales across categories that are significantly different sizes. The small category will always be on the low end of the spectrum even if there is significant variation from one cell to the next.
By using a calculation with the WINDOW_MAX function, you can ensure a row is always being compared against itself rather than the entire worksheet. Ready to learn how? Check out this video!
