How global warming affects rainfall and temperature where you live - part I (Heavy MET talk); Rasmus Benestad, Senior Scientist at Norwegian Meteorological Institute
The first lecture on how to estimate the local consequences of climate change for where you live, through the means of downscaling. The concept of downscaling is introduced explaining its purpose and the theory behind it. This is meant to be training material for students and people who are interested in climate change adaptation. Downscaled results are often central to climate services, and this set of lectures can boost the understanding of such data.
