A lighter and more compact 6-1/2" saw allows you to be more nimble and provides less fatigue than heavier saws. Don't expect this to do all the heavy lifting for you, but it will rip cut pressure-treated 2x lumber in a pinch. The brushless motor is powered by the RIDGID 18-volt lithium battery and spins the 6-1/2" blade up to 5,000 RPM under no load. You can get the bare tool with the blade at the Home Depot for $149.
