TPL926 and TPL927 are Blue Triangle's only two Tridents with Plaxton President body , delivered in 5/2003. They are the long wheelbase version, with Cummins ISC Euro III engine and ZF Ecomat 5-speed gearbox. Bonded glazing looks much better than gasket ones, but most fleets other than First eventually opted for the latter one, perhaps due to cost issues.
The replacement service between Hammersmith and Wimbledon was operated by Sullivan Buses. I also rode on TPL927 back in October on a similar occasion. They were in a very good condition, while those Volvo B7TL's on the same route were terribly noisy, and the ride of those Scania OmniCity's were rather harsh. So difficult to catch a nice bus...
